 My sweet Caden,

You and Keira were going to spend the night last week and I surprised you and asked Bryce and Bowen if they wanted to spend the night also. You were so excited when you got here, you just couldn’t believe Bowen was here with you. I always tell you kids not to wake anybody up in the morning, let everybody sleep. And of course you were the one who gets up first out of everybody. You came down about 6 o’clock and went to the bathroom, then went back to bed, but came back down in about 15 minutes and crawled in bed with me. You talked straight for a half hour.  You told me you were so excited to go out west with your dad to go skiin. ( Bowen and uncle Bryan just got back from a trip our west to ski) 

You told me when you walk in the eighth grade hall people are always waving to you, so you must be popular. 

I love you more than life and always remember I will be your biggest advocate.

 My precious Caden

Your bus goes by my house on its way to your house, so I try to be out there to wait if you’re not too busy visiting with your friends, ha ha. The one day I asked if you saw me, and you said yes, I was the one with the hat on. And I thought hmmmm, I wonder what that’s about with the hat. Well, the next morning, your mama told me that you knitted a hat in family living and you were so excited for that hat. So you were a knitted stocking hat on a 70° day.

Last Sunday we were all at church, and after church we all stay and eat breakfast there. Bowen was there for the first time in a while and you love him more than anything, however, there was a boy from your Sunday school, who is sitting all alone at the table and you went over to sit with him. You are just the best ever and I sure do love you more than anything.

 My dear caden,

This week was Bowens birthday, even tho we celebrated it in Pittsburgh, when we were all together. So, he asked you and Kiera to come to his birthday breakfast. You were very excited, you called me and asked if I could pick you up and take you since your mom and dad are working.  The morning of the breakfast, you said to me “ thank you Grami for coming and picking me up”  so sweet, of course I would pick you up , but you were so happy.

 My precious Caden

I love you so much, you are just the sweetest. The other day you and Keira were at the house and Kiera and I were in the driveway and you stuck your head out and asked me when I vacuum. I thought oh boy, what did he spill. And you said no grandma I just want to know when you vacuum. And I said, I don’t know, I guess when it needs it., And you asked again, and I said every other day why? And you were just curious because you never see me vacuum.

You are going through a phase of being very afraid of things. We walked through the woods the other day up to your house and you were actually in tears because you saw a deer and you thought a person was on the deer. I’m sure of what you saw was the white tail flicking up in the air and you thought it was someone waving their hand. It just broke my heart. I never want you to be afraid or sad. I am always here to protect you for his long as I’m here.

You go to the middle school this year, and you were quite nervous. However, the fifth graders had to get together at the school, and since Bryce is one of the counselors, she took you around and showed you everything and relieved your fears. You were so excited to be with her, and she was so happy to take you around and make you feel better.

 My dear Caden,

We were at a soccer camp last week, it was actually organized by your parents and uncle Bry and Drew Howard. The first day Bowen sat with you and aunt Sommer asked him about that and he said well it was his first day. Of course I would sit by him. I have so many pictures of the two of you together, and Bowen has his hand on your shoulder. He sure loves you and wants to take care of you.

 My dear Caden,

Gosh, I love you so much. Always remember I will be your biggest and best advocate. You can come to me for anything.

The other day I went to your house to pick you up because we were going to Papa shop for a picnic. Both your parents were working in their work rooms and you were sitting on the couch playing a game on the TV. And I said “oh Caden, I bet you hate being home alone“ ( being sarcastic) and you said “OH NO, I love it” it cracked me up, it was so funny.

You came up to lake house yesterday and wanted to water ski, first time this year. You got up your first try. Your dad was in the water and pushed you up a little. As we went  around you kept worrying where your dad was. You just wanted to go back and pick him up. I was afraid you were going to fall because you were twisting your neck around looking for your dad.

You are the best
